About Me

As a London-based multi-disciplinary artist, researcher, independent filmmaker, photographer, storyteller, linguist, translator, and practitioner of the arts, my creative portfolio spans a diverse array of disciplines. My photographic work has been featured in leading publications such as The Guardian, Daily Mail, and Metro, enabling my visual narratives to resonate with a wide audience.

My artwork has been exhibited in a variety of locations, including India, Iran, and the Stanley Picker Gallery in Kingston, reflecting the breadth of my creative interests. A notable aspect of my career has been my involvement in The Simorgh Project, where I served as a practitioner. This role involved teaching storytelling, photography, and filmmaking, which deepened my understanding of these art forms and allowed me to pass on this knowledge to students.

Beyond my artistic endeavours, I have experience as a newsletter editor in both Persian and English, which has sharpened my skills in written communication and content creation. This has enabled me to articulate complex ideas and engage effectively with diverse audiences. My proficiency in language translation, particularly between Persian and English, further enhances my ability to bridge cultural and linguistic divides.

Specialising in filmmaking, I hold a Master of Arts degree from the Kingston School of Art, which has significantly informed my approach to creating thought-provoking and meaningful films. My studies and experience in photography, theatre, and literature contribute to my wide-ranging perspective as an artist.

Committed to community service, I have regularly volunteered my time and expertise to support various charitable causes and initiatives. This commitment has not only allowed me to make a positive impact within my local community but has also further developed my skills in teamwork, leadership, and project management.

Drawing inspiration from Persian poets such as Zarathustra, Ferdowsi, Khayyam, Hafez, Ganjavi, Jalal-edin Balkhi (Rumi), as well as modern voices like Sohrab Sepehri and Forugh Farrokhzad, I have organised cultural events and poetry nights. These gatherings provide a platform to share the richness of Persian literature and foster spaces for cultural exchange and dialogue.
